The Movers Mindset project is quite large and we hope this page will help you find what you seek.

Movers Mindset examines the nature and philosophy of movement by exploring themes like independence, self-direction, and human excellence. We promote self-improvement through podcast episodes, website content, and forum interactions.

Three Main Areas

The three main areas of the Movers Mindset project are the Podcast, the Forum and this members-only Web site

PODCAST — As a member, you can play the full podcast episodes in your favorite podcast player: See the page about your personal RSS feeds. You can also simply play the full episodes from this web site by looking at the listing of podcast episode posts.

Note: Temporarily, episodes 1-77 are only available on the public site. Until we finish re-publishing those episodes here on the members-only site, you can stream them from the public podcast’s episode list on the public web site.

FORUM — The goal of the Forum is to facilitate self-improvement. In the Forum we focus on movement as a mastery practice and highlight the processes of discovery and reflection. The Forum provides the opportunity to interact with and learn from podcast guests, athletes, experts, and like-minded others. In the forum we publish video interviews, panel discussions and more.

THIS MEMBERS-ONLY WEB SITE — Movers Mindset has been collecting and publishing written contributions since 2015. As of late 2019, there were 1,000+ posts, and 500,000+ words, with articles posted in three languages. It dangerous to go alone, you’ll need these tools in your adventure:

  • The page listing all the People is bigger than you expect, and the people listing changes if you change languages to reflect who has content in that language.
  • Our page of Tags is a good way to find a large collection of posts on one topic.
  • The page listing all the Episodes leads to a listing of everything related to each episode.
  • …and remember there’s a search box in the menu at the top.

How to get in touch with us

For any questions regarding contributing your writing to the project, visit our contributors’ frequently asked questions. If you have any other questions or concerns, please email us at team@moversmindset.com. We’d love to hear from you!

Friends of Movers Mindset

The Friends of Movers Mindset are gyms, (or other places,) who have supported us by spreading the word about the project. To become a friend, or to see a list of our friends, visit our friends page, where you can find the flyer to download with instructions on how to share it.

Discussion Panels

The Discussion Panels aims to further rational discourse and discussion on important topics by gathering the combined knowledge of individuals, and making it accessible to our members. The video calls from these panels are recorded and posted in the Movers Mindset Forum for our members. All panelists are invited into the Forum, so that they can interact with our members and continue the discussion. Members are also able to suggest questions, topics, and panelists. If you would like to view all of the Discussion Panels, please see the list of topics tagged ‘discussion-panels’.

Guests’ follow-up questions

We occasionally reach out to previous podcast guests and ask them answer follow-up questions. The answers are published in the Movers Mindset Forum, tagged with “follow-up-questions”. All of the podcast guests are invited into to the Forum too, so may be able to interact with them directly, (but that’s their call of course.)

Athletes’ Questions

The Athlete Questions aim to shine light on the voices of movers – asking about their practice, their movement philosophy, and how they train. The answers to these questions are published in the Movers Mindset Forum; there is a list of topics tagged with “athlete-questions”.

Three words to describe your practice

This is the signature ending question for the podcast. You’ll find a lot of things on this web site with this tag. There’s also an article describing the question’s origin (and Episode 55.)

Behind the scenes

These posts contain Craig’s thoughts and lessons learned from the behind the scenes of the interviews. These are the stories from before the interview, or after, the other people in the room you don’t hear, the places we visit, or just the vibe. They are posted here tagged Behind the scenes. You can also find these in the Movers Mindset Forum tagged behind-the-scenes.

Story time project

As we mentioned in the episode 25, Craig love stories and story-telling. But helping others tell their stories is what he enjoys most about the interviews. Some people, we have nothing more to do than press the ‘record’ button. Others have something they need to say, but it takes hours of conversation to find it. Either way, we’ve some amazing stories. You can read about the story time project, or view all the posts tagged with “story time”.

The Hero Forge audio files

In 2017 and 2018, Andy Fisher created a podcast called the Hero Forge project. In 2019 he appeared on the Movers Mindset podcast (episode 60). In response to his interview on Movers Mindset, several people expressed interest in hearing the Hero Forge podcast, and we—Andy and Craig—are delighted to present the Hero Forge audio files on our website!
